Glass industry

End uses

Textile supports physically in contact with glass in a plastic state, i.e about 700°C, which are used for example as mould linings in car window and rearscreen manufacturing. In this particular field Schappe Techniques works in partnership with wire drawers.

Raw materials used

Stainless steel inox is the main material of our yarn selection due to its high thermal behaviour. It may be pure stainless steel or it may be a blend of stainless steel inox and para-aramid.
