Schappe places great importance on protecting the personal data of its customers, prospects and job applicants. This privacy policy is intended to inform you, clearly and transparently, about how your data is collected, used, stored and protected, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU Regulation 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).
1. Data Controller

2. Data Collected
We collect personal data in the following cases:
- Customer inquiry form: name, first name, company, email, phone number, content of the request
- Job application form: name, first name, email, phone number, position applied for, CV, cover letter
- Website browsing: connection data, IP address, cookies (see section 9)
- Newsletter (where applicable): email, first name
3. Purposes of Processing
- Processing and responding to customer requests (quotes, product information, after-sales service, partnership)
- Managing applications received as part of recruitment processes
- Compiling website traffic statistics
- Ensuring the security and proper functioning of the website
- Sending a newsletter, if you have consented to it
4. Legal Basis for Processing
- Schappe’s legitimate interest in processing customer and prospect requests
- Consent of the data subject for job applications, the newsletter and non-essential cookies
- Performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures, in particular as part of the recruitment process
- Legal obligation, where applicable (accounting, employment-related obligations)
5. Data Retention Period
- Customer / prospect inquiries: 3 years from the last contact
- Unsuccessful applications: 2 years from receipt, unless express consent is given for a longer period (CV database)
- Customers (ongoing contracts): duration of the contractual relationship, plus the applicable legal limitation periods
- Newsletter: until unsubscription
- Cookies: 13 months maximum
6. Data Recipients
The data collected is intended for Schappe’s authorised internal departments (sales, HR, management). It may also be shared with technical service providers acting on Schappe’s behalf, strictly within the limits of their assignments: website host, email service provider, application management tool. These service providers are contractually bound to comply with the GDPR. No data is sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
7. Your Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data:
- Right of access to your data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to object
- Right to data portability
